DUSHANBE, May 23, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon is expected to pay an official visit to four European countries from June 5-12, a well-informed source at the government told Asia-Plus today.
France will be the first leg of President Rahmon’s tour of Europe. In Strasbourg, which is the official seat of the European Parliament, Tajik president will address the European Parliament.
“After France, the Tajik head of state will visit Luxembourg, Austria and Hungary, where he will hold talks with leaders of these nations to discuss issues related to establishment and expansion of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in sectors like finance, energy and agriculture,” the source noted.
