DUSHANBE, September 1, 2011, Asia-Plus -- On Wednesday August 31, Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov received Belarusian Ambassador to Tajikistan, Ms. Olga Gavruk.
According to the PM Secretariat, the two discussed a broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Belarus in sectors like energy, agriculture and education.
In the course of the talks, Tajik prime minister noted that there was still considerable room for expansion of economic ties between the two countries.
Ms. Gavruk, for her part, noted that her country was ready to cooperate with Tajikistan in training of technical manpower for Tajikistan, launching joint ventures for assembling Belarusian machines in Tajikistan and opening branches of Belarusian universities in Dushanbe, the source said.
