DUSHANBE, October 8, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s youth organization called Sozandagoni Vatan (Creators of Homeland) organized a conference on the labor migration problems on Friday, October 7.
Usmon Solehov, head of the PDP’s public relations department, told Asia-Plus on Saturday the conference discussed legal problems of labor migration, women’s labor migration and ways to prevent outflow of young researchers and other highly qualified experts from the country.
The conference participants noted that to prevent brain drain from the country appropriate governmental bodies and non-governmental organizations should take specific measures to improve living and working conditions of young researchers in the country.
The PDP created the Sozandagoni Vatan organization in July and its founding conference took place on July 27. The conference elected Adham Mirsaidov, formerly head of the PDP organizing department, chairman of the Sozandagoni Vatan organization.
The main objective of the organization is in fostering a spirit of patriotism, devotion to ideas of national self-consciousness and independence of the country in the young generation.
Founded in 1993, the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan is the biggest political party in Tajikistan. Its chairman is President Emomali Rahmon. The party controls some 70 percent of seats in the lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of the parliament. It is the largest party, boasting more than 150,000 registered members. The official newspaper of the party is Minbari Khalq .
