DUSHANBE, October 26, 2011, Asia-Plus -- On Tuesday October 25, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi received Indian Ambassador to Tajikistan Asith Kumar Bhattacharjee at his request, the Tajik MFA information department reports.
In the course of the talks, the two reportedly discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and India as well as resumption of an air communication between Dushanbe and New Delhi.
According the MFA information department, Tajik national air carrier, Tajik Air, operated regular flights from Dushanbe to New Delhi from 2001, but the air communication was suspended in 2006 due to unprofitableness of the flights.
