DUSHANBE, October 27, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Over the past week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has received Tajik Ambassador to Uzbekistan Muzaffar Huseynov twice, according to the Uzbek MFA press center.
On October 27, the sides reportedly considered issues related to “current Uzbek-Tajik relations.”
Before that, Tajik diplomat was received on October 20 and the sides discussed “separate issues of bilateral relations,” the Uzbek MFA press center reported.
According to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, trade between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan over the first nine months of this year has amounted to some 48.7 million U.S. dollars. Tajikistan’s exports to Uzbekistan have been estimated at 3.6 million U.S. dollars and Tajikistan’s imports from Uzbekistan have been estimated at 45.1 million U.S. dollars.
