DUSHANBE, July 17, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Afghan President Hamid Karzai have exchanged messages of congratulations on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the established of diplomatic relations between their countries, Tajik president’s official website reported on July 17.
In his message, President Rahmon, in particular, noted the two neighboring nations, sharing common language, history, culture and religion, have reached tremendous achievements in political, economic and cultural cooperation. Tajik leader expressed confidence that bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan would expand in the future as well.
A message by President Hamid Karzai reportedly notes that bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Tajikistan would expand in the future as well as for the sake of peace and the wellbeing of the region. HE stressed that Afghan people was interested in development of fraternal relations with Tajikistan.
