DUSHANBE, December 18, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon will attend summits of the Collective Security treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) that will take place in Moscow on December 19.
During his stay in Moscow, Tajik leader is also scheduled to hold talks with a number of his counterparts from the CSTO and EAEC member nations, a source in the Tajik government said.
According to an official website of Russian president, the CSTO summit will consider a number of international and regional issues, including the current situation in Afghanistan, interaction between the CSTO member nations on improvement of collective security system and collective response to emergencies.
The CSTO heads of state will also discuss issues related to development of the Organization in medium-term perspective.
The EAEC summit will focus on further reorganization of the Community and adaptation of its activities to new conditions of integration within the framework the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space (CES) of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan as well as financing of the Community institutions.
