DUSHANBE, March 5, 2013, Asia-Plus -- On Monday March 4, Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi received the copies of the credentials of Swiss Ambassador to Tajikistan with residence in Astana, Mauro Reina, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
In the course of the talks, the sides considered a number of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Switzerland as well as regional and international issues being of mutual interest.
Zarifi appreciated Switzerland’s support for Tajikistan’s joining the World Trade Organization (WTO). Tajik minister reportedly outlined exploration of glaciers in the Pamirs as one of areas of cooperation between the two countries
The two also discussed cooperation between Tajikistan and Switzerland within international organizations such as the United Nations and the OSCE.
