DUSHANBE, May 16, 2013, Asia-Plus -- On Thursday May 16, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon received Kyrgyz Minister of Transport and Communications, Kalybek Sultanov.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the sides discussed a broad range of issues related to political economic and cultural cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
In the course of the talks, Rahmon and Sultanov reportedly also touched upon the regional security issues.
The sides expressed confidence that Tajik president’s official visit to Kyrgyzstan that is scheduled for late May will give a new impulse to further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the source said.
Kalybek Sultanov, who is also co-chairman of the Tajik-Kyrgyz intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation, arrived in Dushanbe to attend the 12th session of the commission that kicked off in Dushanbe today.
