DUSHANBE, June 6, 2013, Asia-Plus – On Wednesday June 5, Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr. Nizomiddin Zohidov, received a Polish delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister, Ms. Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalecz.
The delegation members reportedly included Polish Ambassador to Tajikistan (with residence in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Mr. Marian Przeździecki, and other Polish officials.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the sides discussed a broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Poland and expressed satisfaction with the progress of implementation of Poland-sponsored economic development projects in Tajikistan.
They also noted that intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation as well as interagency consultations played an important role in expansion of bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries.
The sides also discussed the regional integration issues, the current situation in Afghanistan and interaction between Tajikistan and Poland within international organizations.
