DUSHANBE, August 30, 2013, Asia-Plus – Economic Reforms Party of Tajikistan is reviewing the candidacy of six of its activists as presidential candidates. Alimjan Babaev, the Leader of the Party, PhD Economics, and Head of Institute of Economy of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, told Asia-Plus about this.
Mr. Babaev said: “The single candidate among the abovementioned six activists of the Party for the presidential elections will be decided at the Party Congress, which will be held on 20 September in Dushanbe.”
He also noted that his Party is not planning on joining a coalition with other parties for presidential elections.
Mr. Babaev noted: “Today about 20 thousand Tajik citizens are united around our party.”
