DUSHANBE, September 13, 2013, Asia-Plus – Participation of over 700 international observers is expected for the presidential elections in Tajikistan, scheduled for 6 November. Abdumannan Dadaev, Head of the Central Election Committee Administration, reported this in an interview to Asia-Plus.
According to him, process of inviting and coordination of list of international organizations’ representatives, as international observers in Tajikistan’s presidential elections, are ongoing today.
Mr. Dadaev said: “We are expecting observer missions from OSCE, CIS, SCO, and other international diplomatic missions, accredited in Dushanbe.”
He reminded that 536 international observers, including 254 OSCE representatives, 167 CIS representatives, 17 SCO representatives, and 86 representatives from diplomatic missions.
