DUSHANBE, September 17, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The Agrarian Party of Tajikistan (APT) has nominated its activist Ahmadbek Bukhoriyev to run in the 2013 presidential election.
A pre-election congress of the Agrarian Party of Tajikistan took place in Dushanbe on September 17.
Dr. Ahmadbek Bukhoriyev is Vice-President of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan.
The Agrarian Party of Tajikistan was founded in 1995. The chief of the APT is Amir Qaroqulov. The Agrarian Party now has some 30,000 members. It won two seats in the 2010 parliamentary elections.
