DUSHANBE, September 30, 2013, Asia-Plus – Ms. Homida Nosirova, a member of the Islamic Revival Party (IRP) initiative group, who is collecting signatures to support presidential candidate Oynihol Bobonazarova in Dushanbe’s Ismoili Somoni district, came to President Emomali Rahmon’s home on September 29, according to IRP’s website.
Security officers reportedly met her at the door and asked why she came to president’s house.
Homida said that President Rahmon was citizen of Tajikistan and like other citizens of the country he had the right to put signature in support for one or another presidential candidate and she had come to get his signature in support for Oynihol Bobonazarova.
The president and his wife were not at home that time, and therefore, security officers did not let the IRP female activist in, the IRP’s website said.
