DUSHANBE, October 4, 2013, Asia-Plus -- On Thursday October 3, Shukurjon Zuhurov, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) received a delegation of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA)’s Permanent Commission for Social Policy and Human Rights, led by Sergey Kalashnikov, the head of State Duma (Russia’s lower chamber of parliament) Committee on Health Affairs.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the sides discussed issues related to expansion of cooperation between the Tajik parliament and the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.
A two-day meeting of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA)’s Permanent Commission for Social Policy and Human Rights is reportedly concluding at the National Library of Tajikistan in Dushanbe today.
“The meeting participants have discussed draft modular laws on protection of reproductive rights of citizens and labor migrant,” Sultonov said.
