DUSHANBE, October 22, 2013, Asia-Plus - On Monday October 21, the head of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s organization for Khatlon, Ahmadjon Alizoda, received a delegation of representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) election observation mission, led by Ambassador Paraschiva Badescu.
In the course of the talks, Alizoda reportedly informed the OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission representatives about work carried out by the PDP within the framework of its pre-election campaign.
For her part, Ambassador Badescu acquainted Alizoda with composition of the OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission to Tajikistan.
We will recall that ODIHR opened an election observation mission to monitor the 2103 presidential election in Tajikistan on October 2.
Headed by Ambassador Paraschiva Badescu, the mission consists of 13 international experts based in Dushanbe and 16 long-term observers to be deployed throughout the country. The experts and observers are drawn from 22 countries.
