DUSHANBE, February 25, 2014, Asia-Plus – “The United States is concerned with the recent blockage of the Radio Ozodi website,” says a press statement released by the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe on February 24.
“We have consistently raised our concerns with the Government of Tajikistan regarding restrictions of the internet and blockages of media sites.
“In the debate on Internet freedom, the United States is on the side of openness. When ideas are blocked, information deleted, and conversations stifled, all of us are robbed of the opportunity to hear and exchange views.”
