DUSHANBE, March 12, 2014, Asia-Plus -- On Tuesday March 11, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in New York.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the sides discussed issues related to regional security in Central Asia, in particular against the background of the withdrawal of international coalition forces from Afghanistan, expanding regional cooperation, and a role of Tajikistan in strengthening peace in neighboring Afghanistan.
Tajik foreign minister and UN SG also touched problems of rational use of water resources and renewable energy sources, the Tajik MFA information department said.
