DUSHANBE, May 15, 2014, Asia-Plus – On Wednesday May 14, Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister, Nizomiddin Zohidov, received Swedish Ambassador to Tajikistan (with residence in Stockholm), Mr. Ake Peterson.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the sides discussed a number of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Sweden.
They also discussed cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Sweden were established on December 9, 1992.
Mr. Ake Peterson was appointed as Stockholm-based Ambassador to Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan) on August 30, 2012. Since February 2013, Mr. Peterson has been Stockholm-based Ambassador to Tajikistan.
