DUSHANBE, July 18, Asia-Plus – On Thursday July 17, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov met in Bishkek with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on the sidelines of the fifth meeting of the Central Asia plus Japan Dialogue foreign ministers.
According to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed a number of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
In the course of the talks, Kyrgyz president reportedly underlined the significance of agreements reached between the two countries.
President Atambayev added that competent agencies of both countries have to intensify interaction to solve problems existing between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan through constructive and weighted approach, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry information department said.
