Chair of the Upper Chamber of Tajikistan’s Parliament, Mahmadsaid Ubaydullaev, received the First Deputy of the Head of the Committee on Agriculture and Produce Policy and Use of Natural Resources, Sergey Lisovskiy, at his request.
Mr. Ubaydullaev’s Aide, Shavkat Saidov, told Asia-Plus that during the upcoming Tajik-Russian inter-parliamentary forum in October, which will be held in Moscow, the issue of increasing the import of Tajik fruits and vegetables to Russia will be discussed.
Mr. Saidov said: “It was noted that Russian producers intend to provide to Tajikistan the latest technology on production and processing of fruits and vegetables, provide support in creating logistic centers for export of fruits and vegetables from Tajikistan, and to finance the increasing of Tajik fruit and vegetable production export potential.”
According to him, within the frame of the abovementioned inter-parliamentary forum, the Chair of the Upper Chamber of the Tajik Parliament will pay an official visit to Russia.
