Tajikistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses a strong protest in connection to Kyrgyz side’s actions on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border on 25 August, 2014, which resulted in human casualties, according to the Tajik Foreign Ministry’s statement.
The statement reads: “We consider the violation of previous agreements and attempts to resolve issues by force unacceptable.
“The Ministry notes frequent occurrence of such provocations on the eve of important inter-governmental talks, which negatively affects bilateral cooperation.
“Tajikistan reserves the right in the event of such situations to prevent any illegal actions and to protect its citizens and its territory with all available forces and means.
In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.”
