DUSHANBE, February 7, 2015, Asia-Plus – On Friday February 7, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov received visiting Deputy Assistant Secretaries of State Daniel N. Rosenblum and Steven Feldstein.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the sides discussed issues related to preparations for the next session of the United States-Tajikistan Annual Bilateral Consultations (ABC) that will take place in Washington, the parliamentary elections that will be held in Tajikistan on March 1 this year and the high-level international conference on the implementation of the International Decade for Action, "Water for Life", 2005-2015, which is expected to take place in the Tajik capital from June 9-11 this year.
They reportedly also exchanged views on bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the United States, regional cooperation, the current situation in Afghanistan, water-and-energy problems and some other issues being of mutual interest.
After the meeting with Tajik foreign minister, Rosenblum and Feldstein participated in a joint high-level meeting to discuss the religious freedom issues with representatives of relevant Tajik ministries and agencies, the source said.
