DUSHANBE, August 1, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon yesterday departed for Jakarta, Indonesia to attend the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, Minister of Industry and New Technologies Shavkat Bobozoda, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State-owned Property Management Qodir Qosim, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Jamshed Nourmuhammadzoda and Presidential Adviser on Foreign Policy Azamsho Sharifi are accompany the president on his trip to Indonesia.
It is the third visit of President Rahmon to Indonesia. The first two visits of Rahmon to Indonesia reportedly resulted in signing of seven cooperation agreements.
While Jakarta, Rahmon is scheduled to hold talks with the Indonesian President Joko Widodo today.
Tajik president is also expected to deliver a statement at the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum that will kick off at Jakarta Convention Center on August 2.
