On Friday November 25, President Emomali Rahmon received Kazakh Foreign Minister Erlan Idrisov.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, Rahmon and Idrisov discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
Tajik leader reportedly expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between the two countries and noted that Tajikistan was interested in further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with Kazakhstan.
In the course of the talks, the two sides also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan, strengthening of Tajikistan’s common border with Afghanistan, participation of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in reconstruction of Afghanistan’s economy, and training of personnel for that country.
Rahmon and Idrisov also discussed climate change problems and disaster management cooperation, the website said.
