Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Ismatullo Nasreddin has presented his credentials to Pakistani President Dr. Arif Alvi.

A credentials ceremony took place at the Aiwan-e-Sadr Palace in Islamabad, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

Ambassador Nasreddin reportedly conveyed cordial greetings from President Emomali Rahmon to his Pakistan counterpart.

In the course of the talks, they discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan in various fields.   

Ismatullo Nasreddin was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan in early February this year.  Prior to this, he had served as Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan.   

Meanwhile, Pakistan President’s Secretariat says envoys of eight countries, including Tajikistan presented their credentials to President Dr. Arif Alvi on March 29.  Later, the Ambassadors separately called on the President.  Speaking on the occasion, the President said that Pakistan wants to further strengthen its relations with all friendly countries.  The President emphasized that today’s Pakistan provides very conducive environment for better investment and business opportunities and hoped that investors from these countries will avail them by investing in diverse areas.  He also emphasized that regular exchange of bilateral delegations is essential for strengthening people-to-people contact and forging strong political and economic linkages.
