Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (HCNR), Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, yesterday met in Dushanbe with Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda, Speaker of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament).
According to Afghan news agency Khaama Press, the two discussed Afghan peace and bilateral ties.
“Today I had a productive meeting with HE #Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Republic of Tajikistan,” he said in a tweet.
“We exchanged views on #AfghanPeaceProcess, Tajikistan, & the regional support for peace, & bilateral relations,” he added. “He assured of Tajikistan’s support.”
