The chairman of Tajikistan’s state-run think tank has said Tajikistan’s relations with Iran are based on mutual respect, IRNA reported on December 21.
“In recent years, the bilateral relations between Tehran and Dushanbe have achieved good cultural, economic, and political outcomes,” Khairiddin Usmonzoda, Chairman of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan, told IRNA on the sidelines of The Tehran Dialogue Forum that took place in the Iranian capital on December 19.
Tajik official has reportedly described the Tehran forum as so remarkable.
Usmonzoda was cited as saying that most of the countries in Central Asia need to continue cordial ties with Iran.
“So, Tajikistan has strengthened its cooperation with its Iranian friends and brothers,” he said, adding that such cooperation would produce good results.
Iranian media reports say 70 researchers from 36 countries participated in the 3rd Tehran Dialogue Forum under the title of “Neighborhood Policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran: An Approach to Friendship and Trust.”
The first and second editions of the forum were held three and two years ago.
