On June 5, President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan and President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran held a phone conversation to discuss the state of bilateral relations between their countries.
The Tajik president’s official website says the conversation began with the leaders exchanging heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the blessed holiday of Eid al-Adha.
President Rahmon extended his best wishes for health and success to President Pezeshkian, and expressed his hopes for peace, tranquility, progress, and prosperity for the people of Iran, calling them a friendly and brotherly nation.
The two leaders went on to discuss the current status and future prospects of Tajik-Iranian relations, emphasizing the importance of their ongoing cooperation.
President Rahmon expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development and expansion of ties between the two nations and underscored the critical role of regular high-level dialogue in fostering further cooperation.
The call highlighted the strong and enduring partnership between Tajikistan and Iran, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepening their friendship and cooperation in various areas.
