The Tajik president’s official website reports that on Friday July 4, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a cordial meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev in the city of Khankendi, Azerbaijan on the sidelines of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit.
President Rahmon reportedly expressed his sincere gratitude to the Azerbaijani leader for the warm hospitality and praised the high level of organization of the 17th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit hosted by Azerbaijan.
In response, President Aliyev thanked President Rahmon for accepting the invitation to participate in the high-level economic gathering.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the expansion of cooperation between their countries, as well as issues related to the agenda of the 17th ECO Summit.
