In a significant step toward enhancing bilateral ties, Tajikistan and Mongolia signed a series of cooperation agreements following high-level talks between the two countries' leaders. The signing ceremony, held on January 24, was attended by Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon and Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, as reported by the Tajik president’s official website.

The two leaders signed a Joint Declaration on mutual cooperation, affirming their commitment to expanding cooperation in various sectors.

In addition to the Joint Declaration, several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to formalize collaboration in multiple areas:

• MoU on Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia;
• MoU on Cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Energy of Mongolia;
• MoU on Cooperation in the Agricultural Sector between the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry of Mongolia;
• MoU on Cooperation between the Committee for Tourism Development of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth of Mongolia;
• MoU on Cooperation between the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communications of Mongolia;
• MoU on Cooperation in Preventing and Eliminating Emergency Situations between Tajikistan's Emergencies Committee and Mongolia's State Emergencies Agency;
• MoU on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia;
• MoU on Cooperation between the Open Joint-Stock Company "Centers for Certification, State Services, and Development of Digital Applications" and Mongolia’s State Enterprise "E-Mongolia Academy";
• MoU on Cooperation between the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan and Mongolia's National Institute for Security Studies;
• MoU on Cooperation between the National Museum of Tajikistan and the National Museum of Mongolia.

Following the signing ceremony, Presidents Rahmon and Khurelsukh addressed the press in a joint conference, discussing the significance of the new agreements and outlining the future prospects for collaboration between the two nations.
