DUSHANBE , January 12, Asia-Plus - On Wednesday January 11, President Rahmonov also met in Astana with Mr. Michael Johansson, Secretary of U.S. Agriculture Department, and Jozett Shainer (phonetically spelled), Undersecretary of State for Economics and Agriculture, presidential press service reported. 

Their talks focused on development and strengthening of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and the United States in the area of agriculture as well as issues related to regional security and the situation in Afghanistan , according to presidential press service.
