DUSHANBE, March 15, Asia-Plus -- The construction of the “Ismoili Somoni” Hotel officially commences in Dushanbe on March 15.
Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov telling a groundbreaking ceremony for this world-class hotel noted that it would be constructed with participation of the Tajik closed joint-stock holding company “Ismoili Somonis-21 st Century” and the internationally known Turkish company “Kaynak Holding”. Head of state noted that the construction of the hotel and a business-center was one of largest projects implemented with participation of Turkish companies.
“The main objective of the construction of these facilities is in facilitating development of entrepreneurship, commerce and international tourism,” Rahmonov said, adding that the construction of one more five-star hotel will officially commence in Dushanbe in May.
Rahmonov expressed confidence that the “Ismoili Somoni” Hotel would be finished in accordance with schedule and the hotel would be put into operation in 1? year. According to him, 700 people will be involved in the construction of the hotel. “Once the hotel is built, 650 people will provided with jobs,” said Rahmonov, “More than 90 percent of them will be young woman.”
The “Kaynak Holding” top manager Mustafa Ozjan telling the hotel groundbreaking ceremony noted that the “Ismoili Somoni” Hotel would be a kind of the gate of Tajikistan through which foreign investments would flow into Tajikistan.
The “Ismoili Somoni” Hotel will be constructed in the center of Dushanbe, at Rudaki Avenue, just opposite the building of the Youth Committee under the Government of Tajikistan.
