DUSHANBE, December 1, Asia-Plus - Lieutenant-General Khairddin Abdurahimov, former Minister of Security, has been appointed head of the news formed State Committee of National Security. 

By president’s edict on reorganization of the government structure the border protection committee and ministry of security were abolished and their duties were folded into the state committee of national security.
