DUSHANBE, April 13, Asia-Plus - Capital mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev seeks media cooperation in explaining the general plan on development of Dushanbe.
On Thursday April 12, Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev presided over a meeting with participation of heads of the Dushanbe media. The meeting focused on the implementation of the Dushanbe general plan.
The mayor noted that the general plan is being implemented stage by stage and strictly within the framework of the country’s legislation. “Municipal authorities are taking efforts to ensure that residents’ rights of property and housing will not be wounded,” Ubaidulloyev said, noting that the reconstruction work will start in Circle 1.
The boundaries of Circle 1 pass along the streets of Karamov, Omar Khayam, Tursunzoda, Lohuti, Ayni and the left bank of the Dushabinka River. The reconstruction work in Circle 1 is supposed to be finished in 2015.
A number of multi-story residential buildings for a total amount of 43,630,160 somonis will be constructed in this circle.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that a special commission is currently carrying out work on registration of individual residential buildings in Circle 1. “Under the general plan, in Circle 1, the individual residential buildings will remain only in blocks of buildings ## 142, 143, 145, 153 and 155 as these areas will be selitebe zones, while in other areas of the circle the individual houses will be pulled down,“ the spokesman said.
Householders , whose houses will be pulled down, will be provided with apartments in multi-story residential buildings constructed in Circle 1 or the municipal administration will allot them plots for housing in the Khovaron area, according to Saidov.
