DUSHANBE, April 25, Asia-Plus - Tajik parliament has endorsed a bill regulating investment relations in the country.
A regular sitting of the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) of the third convocation presided over by its chairman Saydullo Khairulloyev was held on April 25.
First Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister, Amonullo Ashurov, presenting the bill on investment noted that it aims to regulate relations in the filed of investment, lay legal and economic foundations of the investment, and ensure protection of investments.
Shodi Shabdolov, member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on energy, Industry and Construction also leader of the Communist Party (CPT), noted that the investment law will promote efficient use of investments and further socioeconomic development of the country.
The session also approved amendments to the laws on state protection and support for entrepreneurship, organs of prosecutor’s office, weapons, cinema, museums and museum stocks, iodized salt, protection of atmosphere, medications and pharmaceutical activity.
The Majlisi Namoyandagon also endorsed amendments to the Criminal-Procedural Code and considered proposals introduced by a working group for the law on public associations.
