DUSAHNBE, August 10, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon on August 10 met with a group of newly appointed chiefs of city and district police directorates, presidential press service said.
The president noted at the meeting that immediate tasks of police are to fight organized transnational crime, drug trafficking, corruption, and control implementation of the country’s law on order of observing national traditions and rituals.
Rahmon pointed out that to prevent crime police officers should cooperate closely with other state-run bodies, enterprises and organizations, as well as all sections of the population.
