DUSAHNBE, September 21, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon today received credentials of the newly appointed Azeri Ambassador to Tajikistan Mageram Aliyev.
After a meeting with President Rahmon, Azeri envoy said that he will take efforts to promote further expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
He reminded that during mutual visits of the leaders of the two countries a number of important documents on bilateral cooperation between the two nations had been signed.
Asked about prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan in the field of energy, Mageram Aliyev noted that Azeri specialists had already been sent to Tajikistan to study he possibility of such cooperation.
“We will provide thorough assistance to the Tajik people,” Azeri ambassador said.
