DUSHANBE, November 5, Asia-Plus -- On Saturday November 3, President Rahmon met with visiting Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Haruhiko Kuroda, who arrived in Dushanbe to attend to the 6th Ministerial Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program, presidential press service said.
In the course of the talks the two discussed issues related to state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and ADB. The two expressed satisfaction with a process of active participation of ADB in implementation of a number of projects aimed at support socioeconomic development in Tajikistan.
During the meeting it was noted that at present 12 ADB-supported investment projects for a total amount of 217 million US dollars are being implemented in the country. Eight other projects for a total mount of $88 million have already been finished.
