DUSHANBE, February 11, Asia-Plus -- The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a bill on freedom of conscience and religious unions at a February 11 meeting presided over by its speaker Saydullo Khairulloyev.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also discussed amendments to the laws on the constitutional court, courts, national budget for 2008, and the self-government institutions in settlements and villages, as well as the criminal penalty execution code.
The board also considered an agreement between Tajikistan and Romania on avoiding double taxation.
Some of these issues will be considered at the regular sitting of the fourth of the Majlisi Namoyandagon on February 13, Sultonov said.
