DUSHANBE, April 18, Asia-Plus  -- The 13 session of the Dushanbe legislature (Majlis) of the third convocation, presided over by its head, Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, was held on April 17.   

The food situation was one of major topics of the session.  Ubaidulloyev noted that the mayor’s office allocates some 360 million somonis for purchasing 30,000 tons of wheat flour. 

“We intend to purchase grade 1 flour at the rate of 114 somonis for a 50-kilogram sack,” said the capital mayor.  “We have already announced a tender for purchasing this consignment of flour, and suppliers should have quality certificate.”

The session passed a resolution on preparing food stocks of the city of Dushanbe.  During the session, it was noted that the food stock of the capital city will be kept in special warehouses and it will be used only in case of food crisis.
