DUSHANBE, June 4, Asia-Plus -- The fourth session of the lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of Tajik parlaiment (Majlisi Oli) approved a bill requiring amendments to the law on amnesty of citizens and legal entities at a June 4 sitting, presided over by its speaker, Saydullo Khairulloyev.
The amendments, in particular, provide for extending the term of legalization of property of physical and legal entities for six months.
Presenting the bill, Tojiddin Tourayev, member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Constitution, Legislation and Human Rights, noted that decision to extend the legalization term for another six months stems from low flow of applications from citizens because of the past cold winter, severe electricity shortages and beginning of the spring sowing campaign.
“However, the number of applications has been increasing since May, and therefore, the president suggested that the legalization term should be extended for another six months,” MP said.
