DUSHANBE, June 16, Asia-Plus -- The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s upper chamber (Majlisi Milli) of parliament has organized an international conference formally titled “Role of Female MPs in Development of Society”.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the upper house speaker, said that activists of women’s movements from Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Central Asia’s states and Russia had been invited to attend the conference, which is scheduled to be held in Dushanbe from September 3-4.
The conference aims to consider problems facing modern society and contribution of women to solution of those problems.
