DUSHANBE, August 11, 2008, Asia-Plus -- China’s company Z X Choi Invest (phonetically spelled) intends to cooperate with Tajikistan in exploring and developing its uranium reserves, according to presidential press service.
This issue was discussed during a meeting of President Emomali Rahmon with Z X Choi Invest President Gorden Yanro (phonetically spelled) in Beijing on August 8.
In the course of the talks, Gorden Yanro noted that this initiative had occurred after Tajik president’s address to the country’s parliament, in which he had pointed the necessity of development and use of uranium reserves in Tajikistan, the press service said.
Z X Choi Invest is one of China’s largest companies dealing with mining and development of atomic energy.
