RASHT, October 4, 2008, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon visited the Tavildara district today.
According to the source at the Tavildara district administration, during his stay in the district, the president visited Republican Boarding School for Orphans and Children from Vulnerable Families # 1 located there. He also visited the recently opened new building of the branch of Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) in the district and held meeting with local population and veterans of war and labor in the Tavildara Central Park.
“Earlier, six buses, five tractors, 4 ambulances and 31 computers or local schools were delivered to the district,” the source said.
Today afternoon, Emomali Rahmon returned to Dushanbe.
The head of state was on working trip to the Rasht Valley in eastern Tajikistan from October 2 to October 4 to get acquainted with socioeconomic situation in the region.
