DUSHANBE, October 25, 2008, Asia-Plus -- State and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia were the focus of a meeting of President Emomali Rahmon with Chairman of the Federation Council (Russia’s upper chamber of parliament) Sergey Mironov that was held in Dushanbe on October 24, according to presidential press service.
During the meeting, the two confirmed mutual interest in further expansion of strategic allied cooperation between the two countries.
The same day, Mironov left Dushanbe for Moscow, the press service said.
