DUSHANBE, November 11, 2008, Asia-Plus -- The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a draft national budget for 2009 at a November 10 meeting, presided over by its speaker, Saydullo Khairulloyev.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered amendments to the law on state duty and the draft program of Tajikistan’s external borrowings for 2009-2011.
The board also discussed the issue of ratification of a protocol on making changes to the agreement of February 10, 1995 on customs duty and tax exemptions and issuing special permits for conveyance of normative documents, master copies, measuring tools and standard samples, being conveyed for the purpose of control and metrological attestation.
Some of these issues will be considered at the sitting of the fifth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon on October November12, Sultonov said.
