DUSHANBE, December 3, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev met today in Beijing with Mr. Lu Yongxiang, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People''s Congress (NPC), China''s top legislature, Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli for public relations, reported from Beijing.
The sides highly appraised the present state of inter-parliament cooperation between Tajikistan and China.
In the afternoon, Ubaidulloyev is holding meetings with Exim (Export/Import) Bank President Li Ruogu and Wu Bangguo, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, the aide said.
We will recall that the delegation, led by Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, is paying a six-day official good-will visit to China at the invitation of China''s top legislator Wu Bangguo.
