DUSHANBE, December 5, 2008, Asia-Plus -- State and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan were a major topic of a meeting of Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov with Pakistani Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Khalid Usman Kaisar, that was held in Dushanbe on December 4.
According to the Pakistani Embassy in Dushanbe, the two, in particular, discussed Tajik-Pakistani cooperation in the fields of agriculture, tourism, culture and education.
During the meeting, Oqilov and Kaisar pointed to the necessity of intensification of activity of the joint intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation. They also considered issues related to organization of supply of Tajik vegetables and fruits to Pakistan.
