DUSHANBE, February 9, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Minister of interior has issued a number of orders replacing a number of police officials.
By minister’s order of February 7 Colonel Bukhoriyev, who had previously served as the Konibodom police department chief, was appointed as chief of the Interior Ministry (MoI) directorate for combating drug trafficking (drug police), replacing Abdul Roziqov. Abdul Roziqov was relieved of his post of the drug police chief by interior minister’s order on February 2.
Lieutenant-General Sherali Sabzov, formerly head of the Interpol office in Tajikistan, was appointed to head the MoI organized crime prevention department.
